Heidi Roybal is the VP of Finance Systems and Operations, has been with Wamu for 10 years and is located at the bank’s corporate headquarters in Seattle Washington.  In her current role Ms. Roybal reports up through the Corporate Controller’s division, in which she is responsible for daily operations of the bank’s core finance system platforms.  For the past 3 years Ms. Roybal’s group has been busy implementing and optimizing their use of Oracle’s DRM hierarchy management application.  Through these efforts the group has been successful in centralizing and streamlining the bank’s core finance hierarchies while improving controls, transparency and change-management processes.  Although the DRM tool originally was acquired in order to improve SOX controls and efficiencies in the Controller’s division, it is now considered a foundational tool in the bank’s enterprise reference data management strategy.

Ms. Roybal’s ambition is to continue to drive value throughout her organization by further optimizing the DRM tool and by the adoption and development of best practice data-management and governance disciplines.
